De Vore Recruiting is looking for a Skilled Nursing Medical Director.The Medical Director will be providing leadership to one or more skilled nursing facilities in a selected location. Skilled Nursing Medical Director Job Responsibilities

As a Medical Director, candidates will be responsible for the clinical oversight of all nurse practitioners. They will also be ensuring that the quality care of patients by the facility’s staff is met. This may include helping physicians at times and the ability to consult with specialists.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Collaborate, provide, and support the healthcare team
  • Ability to act as a liaison when working with the referring hospitals to promote safe transitions of care 
  • Perform individual case studies and give medical staff feedback 
  • Assess and interpret any data needed to promote quality care
  • Assist management with state and federal surveys
  • Participate, review and update all policies, procedures, and protocols
  • Serve as a mentor for trainees

Skilled Nursing Medical Director Job Requirements

The Nursing Medical Director will be required to collaborate with various staff members effectively. They should be a well-rounded person with caring, thoughtful, and organized quality traits so that they will be able to work with a wide array of personnel.

Additional requirements include:

  • Board certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
  • Approximately 2 years of experience working in skilled nursing 
  • Fellowship training in geriatric medicine and the AMDA CMD 
  • Degree in related field
